About The Los Rios Foundation

The Los Rios Foundation’s Mission is to invest in the students of the Los Rios Community Colleges to help them achieve their aspirations through education.

The Los Rios Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.  The Board is comprised of community leaders in the Sacramento region dedicated to raising funds and implementing the programs of the Los Rios Foundation to further its mission.  The Los Rios Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit entity.

■ Providing funding for equipment, building upgrades & new structures that will enhance the Los Rios colleges

Annual Fund:  The Annual Fund is a fundraising campaign pooling many small gifts from loyal donors, providing a predictable and unrestricted annual funding source.  Last year, the Annual Fund raised $141,920.

Chancellor's Circle: Members of the Los Rios Chancellor’s Circle are among the Sacramento Region’s most influential business and civic leaders and serve as an invaluable resource to the Los Rios Chancellor through annual investments and active participation. 

Scholarship Awards:  Partnered with the college foundations, the Los Rios Foundation has awarded more than 600 Scholarships.  Since 2005, more than $1.8 million has been awarded to deserving students furthering their education. Student Emergency Fund This fund helps students with unexpected emergency situations that may cause the student to drop out of school.  Since its inception in 2009, $108,844 in Student Emergency grants have been awarded to 191 students.
