About The Los Rios Colleges Foundation
The Los Rios Colleges Foundation’s mission is to invest in the students of the Los Rios Community Colleges to help them achieve their aspirations through education.
The Los Rios Colleges Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Board is comprised of community leaders in the Sacramento region dedicated to raising funds and implementing the programs of the Los Rios Colleges Foundation to further its mission. The Los Rios Colleges Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit entity.
The Los Rios Colleges Foundation Programs include:
■ Annual Fund
■ Student Scholarships
■ Staff and Faculty Mini-Grants
■ Student Emergency Fund
■ Providing funding for equipment, building upgrades & new structures that will enhance the Los Rios colleges
Annual Fund: The Annual Fund is a fundraising campaign pooling many small gifts from loyal donors, providing a predictable and unrestricted annual funding source. Last year, the Annual Fund raised $141,920.
Scholarship Awards: Partnered with the college foundations, the Los Rios Colleges Foundation has awarded more than 600 Scholarships last year. Since 2005, more than $1.8 million has been awarded to deserving students furthering their education. Student Emergency Fund: This fund helps students with unexpected emergency situations that may cause the student to drop out of school. Since its inception in 2009, $108,844 in Student Emergency grants have been awarded to 191 students.
